What makes your uni ski club good?

What makes your uni ski club good (or better than everyone elses)? Not just "xyz goes so much fucking harder than everyone else, we'll put you in the ground"

the ski club at my school only exists for parties which is probably pretty normal but i swear like nobody actually skis

there is a backcountry club though and that club does some good stuff

Currently an exec on ski club, have to say trying to get anything done/organized is near impossible, partially due to the "we're sick as fuck and go harder than xyz" attitude. We do have some professionally made rails in our backyard, but they were a boys club kinda deal in past years, so im stoked to try and open that up to more people this winter.

Not really an official ski club, but moreso an Outdoor Recreation Center or Club that organizes all sorts of outdoor activities besides winter ones. They do offer pass/ticket deals, demos and gear rentals, let you buy gear, and all that fun stuff, but it's cool how they just want to get everyone involved vs. just skiers. You can go on hikes, go climb, go ride bikes, snowshoe, learn how to fish, etc. Even saw a few posters for the Faction movie premier on campus so thats neat.

Can confirm it’s the same at UCSB. Much bigger emphasis on the other kind of snow.

It’s not that great because skiing is big enough at the university of utah to where nobody needs a club to find people to ski with. Like I just use the club to get cheap passes but everyone I ski with is just dope people who I’ve met in my regular life
