I have have found the need to add another lens to my bag like the title says. I currently have a Canon t3i w/ the kit lens (Junk) and a tamron 70-300.

I dont really know what i should buy next. Just looking for some help to keep building on my photography.

Thanks

copy-pastatokina 11-16 f2.8

tamron 17-50 f2.8

canon 70-200 f4

rokinon 8mm f3.5

the kit lens isn't junk. probably the only opinion ken rockwell and I share.

shut up, take more photos and shoot more video

how are we supposed to recommend you a lens if we don't know what you want to do with it? if you're finding you're using your kit lens a ton, like the range, and find yourself not satisfied with its results, upgrade it for something with a similar zoom range. if you feel like you're limited for low light capability, get a fast prime. if you need something wider than your kit lens, buy a UWA.

we can't read your mind man, help us out a little.

sorry you are correct. i shoot a lot of motocross and some skiing here and there. the 70-300, works good for motocross, but for skiing i want something that you dont have to be super close but something that you can still be back away (if that makes sense). when i said the kit lens is junk i meant for moto because you cant always get close enough. hopefully this provides a little more info

my olympus 12mm does. Irrelavent though.

To OP: Saving up a couple hundred more dollars for the Canon 24-105 would probably be your best bet. Keep your kit lens to use on the wide end.

Sorry, mirror DSLRs. Mirrorless autofocus can work well although auto focus for 12mm is irrelevant ha
