there is no tokina replacement that offers similar quality at a cheaper price if that is what you are asking. Just use your fisheye, fisheye vs UWA is mostly personal preference when you are going that wide. As far as balancing, check youtube, there are some good tutorials about how to find the center of gravity of your camera (balance it on a pencil in each axis), and then how to adjust your set up for a proper drop time. Make sure you have it set up like you would to ski though, meaning batteries in, mic mounted, sd card in, lens cap off etc. Even the littlest thing can make a difference in the balance. This is less important for skiing, but theres no reason to cut corners
