What knee braces you all using?

Long story short...I have always had VERY flat feet and sever pronation which has caused me to have knee issues my whole life. I have custom footbeds / orthodics. I have always had knee pain with extended pressure sports on the joints...like after a long run, a few days of skiing hard, etc.

Now that im getting older...im looking to get a solid knee brace for skiing. Something that is pretty light, nothing really heavy duty, and will give some extra support.

was looking at a basic two strap knee brace they sell in CVS...but was curious if anyone had anything they would recommend?

what really are you looking for?

I use neoprene Rehband knee sleeves when excerising, primarily for heavy squatting and olympic weightlifting. I've torn my lateral meniscus in both knees, so I have some need for decent knee support. In addition, I felt they promote better blood flow through the joint, keeping it warmer. Personally, I think the 7MM sleeves would be best for skiing.

Do knee braces like this block out pain so you might not know if its reinsured?

I wouldn't say that the block out pain. Rather, they are there to add decent support and promote better musculo-skeletal alignment. For instance, when I squat or front squat without sleeves, I get some clicking from fluid moving around in my knees. When I wear the sleeves, I don't get that clicking. My knees feel much warmer and stronger (blood flow).
