What is your oppinion of racers in the park?

I know many racers that have twin tips and ski in the park when they are not wearing gay GS suits and being all gay. Even if they are good, what is your opinion of them being in the park?
 
What does it matter if their racers and their using the features? As long as there not just hanging out or getting in the way its not a big deal they are skiiers just like you and me. Granted their form is probably a little better but still skiiers using features.

I hate the this is MY park mentality newschoolers has. It's not YOUR park. Everyone deserves the right to ski it and have fun. Yes that includes, you park rats, gapers, old people, young kids, girls, gays, weekend warriors, mexicans, locals, lawyers, dentists, AND racers.

honestly though, racers have just as much right as anyone else to ski park. i also don't see how wearing a gs suit makes you gay
 
I disagree with young kids, my hill is really small and gets barely any snow so when little kids or kids that suck go roll over the jumps and roll over the kickers for rails it fucks them up and it cuts people off which is really annoying. I don't give a fuck about racers tho cause as I said my hill is like 200 feet vertical = no racers what so ever

gapers, little kids, and other people who are completely clueless to the park should not come in until they have a basic knowledge of what the fuck they're doing. they ruin features and constantly cause my park to temporarily close because they need to be carried out on stretchers. finally this year we got a park crew that actually tells people get out when they ruin things, but we have no park passes so its always gonna be a problem.

back to the thread, theres only a few racers that come into the park at my hill. I dont mind it. they just do their big tucks at the jumps, stay away from jibs, and do an occasional hands in the air 360. they're not in the way of anybody so it doesnt bother me. they do look a little goofy tho in skin suits and funny shaped helmets.
 
they can be kinda annoying with their matching suits but as long as theyre not being doushy i don't see a problem with them in the park
 
That is the same as saying people that don't know how to ski moguls properly should not be allowed to ski moguls. They ruin the moguls and they have to be reshaped.

as much as i prefer the park over a race course i would love to take a run down a GS course, but nooooooooooo, i'm not allowed because the race course is only for racers and i'll damage the course with my stupid twin tippers and baggy clothing, but they can come into the park and side jump whenever they want. I'm not saying they shouldn't be allowed in the parks but don't fucking give me this "MY PARK mentality" bullshit when the racers are the most stuck up bastards on the mountain.
 
Too bad they don't realize our edgeless skis would smooth out their chewed up course from a rough man's heel to a baby's ass cheek.
 
I wasn't defending racers and I'm not denying that there are stuck up racers as well. But there is a difference between skiing the public park and the closed race course that you have to be on the race team to ski.
 
They are fine if they are actually sking, but tell em to go if they are just standing around in way.... hate when people do that
 
I see a lot of racers in the park at my mountain and some are cool but some are complete d-bags with the race team jackets and the "im special" mentality they have, but there are some that want to get better in the park and have asked for some tips and advice, the way i see it is good to have another skier in the park, as long as they arent ruining the lips.
 
Fuck all of you that think racers shouldnt be in the park! Just because we race doesn't mean we shouldn't be in the parks. Half my team has twin tips and can jib alright. Racing is a way to get on the snow more and get passes half off. Also, GS suits don't make you gay. It takes some balls sitting at the top of a race course with out anything on but one layer of spandex when it is 0 with a -30 windchill.
 
Uh-oh... Racer on the thread. Ski-racer: we don't mind racers in a park. You and your friends obviously actually hit stuff and don't fuck up the jumps. But if you see it from our point of view.. People in spandex doing spread eagles off of the rail lip is sorta annoying after a while... Not hate. My cousin races
 
racers can screw up our lips by riding in the park but we cant touch your course. i mean i would love to shread a GS course but im not allowed to because ill mess it up. and really you have the spandex on only while you are racing, so if you are exerting energy it shouldnt be that cold. i race skierX and some days i wish i had a speed suit because i am crazy hot in my outfit.
 
well ya kinda, if you're just gonna be all gay and snowplow the moguls and such then get off the moguls? and snowboarders definately need to stay off the moguls cause then they get all long and triangular like alligators swimming through a swamp
 
I understand that. I guess the racers here are a lot different than the racers where the rest of you guys are at. half the people that are in the parks and ok used to or are racers.
 
i really don't give a shit about what other people do in the park. I would only give my shits if they're being cocky anus's.
 
being that racers pay 2000 dollars a season more than you to set that course...I think its only fair.

also, you are ridiculously ignorant...so many pros did racing before freestyle. Jon Olsen being a prime example. Respect all skiers.
 
i fucking hate racers in their spandex suits that sit on the boxes and mess up the lips. and just anyone wearing that stuff. if you ski the park normally and don't look wear that, i'm fine with it
 
as long as a person is attempting to use the features in the way they where intended (not side jumping) and they understand basic park etiquette then they have every right to be there.
 
once upon a time i asked if i could take a run down a course that was set up without any fences or boundaries, it was kind of just in the open, and the guy i asked scoffed and replied "you dont have proper equipment to ski this course" then he muttered something about park rats not knowing how to ski.
 
Even though the racer attitude can be a bitch, they have every right not to let you on the race course. Those kids pay about 2,000 a year to race, and because of that they get the private race course. Its just like at windells, if someone from the public park asked to get on the windells lane, its not gonna happen because it is a private park, just like that is a private course.

Who gives a fuck who is in the park. It definitely can be annoying, but how the hell are people supposed to learn. I used to 50-50 boxes all the time, its how people learn, if they are doing things like side jumping the kickers or whatever maybe you should be the better person and tell them that there are smaller jumps somewhere else or how to jump/do rails properly.
 
I post it everywhere, all the time. My karma's been lowered so I think some people are getting sick of it. I don't care. :D
