What is your major?

undergrad degrees really don't matter that much unless it is something specific like engineering. Most people don't work in the field of their undergraduate studies
 
Already graduated, but minor was philosophy, major English lit, post-grad law.
 
I always regretted not having gone farther with Psychology, I always enjoyed learning about how the mind works and why people act like they do. I find the human psyche endlessly fascinating.
 
Graduated last fall with a bachelor of social work. Not really any majors or minors in the program. I'll probably go on to a masters program at some point.

Agreed. I would rather avoid doing anything to do with which i did to do with physics in my final years so dry and theoretical. Give me a real life problem any day of the week.
 
Well for me at uOttawa, you can do your Bachelors of Commerce (4 years), but you pick an option to focus on (accounting, HR, finance, MIS, etc). It's similar to a major, but more concentrated..

So for MIS, I have very few electives because there are many mandatory courses I have to take. I don't even have the option to minor because there is no room in my schedule.
 
Finance if you choose the finance option. They are ALL business degrees, just depends what you choose to do.

Mine is more computer engineering if anything. It combines business with IT/comp courses.
 
I major in Ski Business and Resort Management.

Coolest major ever. Who else gets college credit to ski?
 
currently its environmental studies. im sure i will stick with it at this point, and will probably end up with an emphasis on climate and energy

also cu boulder has a 15 credit business minor so i might try to get that too depending on how i progress. i think it would be a good thing to have
 
should take environmental science instead. then you get a BSc rather than a BA. not that there's anything wrong with a BA.
 
Recreation, Parks and Leisure

I'm hoping to work in management for a national park or resort or something along those lines in the mountains or along the North Shore back here in MN.

I took a ski class at my local mountain for credits and at the end of it got offered a job as an instructor. fuckin dope
 
Double major in ecology and biological anthropology. Hoping to spend a year as a primatology field assistant once I graduate then potentially get a position in environmental remediation for awhile before I start considering a masters.
 
Undeclared, but most likely Management Information Systems with a minor in Parks & Protected areas resource management
 
Thanks! I still don't know what I want to do in the long-term but it feels good to at least have some direction now for my graduation.
 
good luck to you. i'm in the same boat with not knowing where to go, my heart is telling me to go one way but the universe is telling me to go another. ah well, im still young. there's still time.
