What is your major?

Electrical technology a.a.s. two more semesters left. It's what I did in the navy. Then, I'll transfer to four year electrical engineering program most likely

Chemical Engineering. Might go to Biochem Engineering if I decide to go into the medical side of Chem E but I dont have to make that choice for a few years.

I have a bachelor's degree in human biology, as well as a master's degree in medical science. I'll getting my MD from the University of Michigan, as well as my MBA (likely online).
 
I have my BS in psychology and am half way through my masters but I'm starting to get burned out dealing with other people's problems all the time. I think I'm gonna go into the oilfield as an MWD (measurements while drilling where you live on the rig 2 months at a time and monitor the drill while it works over night. It would be perfect because I will be off 2-3 months at a time and could travel around and ski during the winter and go to the beach during the summer. They make 6 figures starting out...

 
Undeclared. Starting as a freshman this fall and am really lost on what to major in. I'm good at history and english type courses, but am not interested/can't get a job with a major in those subjects and I'm interested in physics and computer science but I'm not good enough at math to get a major in them.
 
So take math and gen ed first two and pull the math grades up. By then you'll have a whole new plan.. I don't know anybody who finished degree in what they started in..
 
Take some easy basics your first semester like sociology or psychology and maybe throw in English 1 or something and then an arts class that way you have a good GPA starting out. Also use ratemyprofessor.com it is the best way to get through college without having to work your ass off!

It doesn't. They just require a degree and you have to know people to even get an interview. Fortunately my best friedn works doing the same thing for them and his older brother in one of the higher ups. I'm perfect for what they are looking for since I have no wife or kids and can travel wherever they need me to whenever.
 
Technically undeclared since I'm at a liberal arts school, but Chem with a focus in Biochem and Mathematics, possibly with a focus in Statistics.
 
As touched on before freshman year is about getting used to college and figuring out why you wanna do. Take classes in as many fields as possible. Some will suck and others will be amazing. Then you will know or at least have a better idea of what you wanna do. Sophomore year narrow it down and take classes in maybe 2 fields then by the end of that year pick one (or both). Study abroad if possible but try to get major credits done sophomore year if you can because most schools don't let abroad credits work towards the major. Then take major credits when you are at school junior year. Finish up you major and general credits senior year and then take some classes in fields you wouldn't normally look at. Undergrad is an amazing time to study lots of random shit you otherwise might not look at and it still benefits you. After that grad schools are so specific you can't take classes in random departments anymore
 
Just graduated in physics. I am a batchelor of science with honours. I dont want to work in physics or finance (like alot of my friends are now doing). Should have done a engineering degree.
 
A reasonable portion do. They like people with skills in data handling, creating models from data and trend spotting. That with a general high intelligence & generally good with numbers is desirable. For me that sounds as dull as can be, but for others its an interest. Alot continue with research and become career academics and also a fair amount teach but there is a reasonable amount go into r&d, engineering type jobs, etc aswell.
 
B.S. - in Finance from CU

additional 30 credits in Accounting from Rider Univ. here in NJ. done next month, and then I'll start taking the CPA exams. FUN FUN FUN
