I watched this movie called Time out yesterday.My dad rented it and i though it would be bad because Justin Timberlake was in it.It really opened my eyes on this one question Ive been asking myself since.
First off here is the trailer of the movie, if you havent seen it already go ahead and rent it , its really good.

Basically the currency in this movie is time. Some people die because they run out of it. Some people live day by day, others can live forever . Very similar to our system.
Our currency is money.It is true that on this planet, money is separated unequally, Therefor people die everyday because they cant afford food or basics that keeps you alive. Although some people have enough money to last decades and they will probably die with that money not being spent.
The only reason why this system is in place , to me, if because people need to keep on dying, every second someone dies and someone gives birth, if these people wouldnt die , the planet wouldn't be big enough for everyone.
So what is the system that chooses who needs to die , and who needs to live.Nobody chooses to be born in a certain place and time, we just are.
Crazy stuff I know. haha, I just though it was a good subject. Comment, lets see what you think !

 
Oh and after reading, the actual reason we have money is because if we didn't there would be no order. Money makes the world go round. No money, no armies to fight and defend, no police, no governments, no countries. I don't think money keeps population in check like the movie depicts time to.
 
Keeping on topic:

Just watched this movie about a week ago. Overall it was decent. The meaning behind the movie was definitely there, but there were a few moments where I face palmed.

One of those being when the girl and him are robbing banks with millions of minutes. It takes only two people to rob that many minutes? With all the shit that went down in Dayton, why did no one else do this before?
 
I read it fine. You say you believe money is a system to keep the population, at least thats how it sounds. I'm saying thats not the case.
 
Boom. There is no "system" that controls population. earth is already over-populated. The people dying in Africa doesn't affect all the people born in 1st and 2nd world countries. Technology, and access to it, is what separates who lives and who dies.

and people aren't chosen. Its people living in poverty that bring more people into poverty, and people living in wealth that bring more people into wealth.

For the record, Im not trying to shit over this thread I just see a major flaw in your thinking on this topic.

yeah, i saw it, thought it was a cool concept and overall done pretty well, i just thought it could have been deeper and more provocative... but maybe im just being cynical because the patriots are saddening
