What is the top cult classic movie of all time?

as far as cult following, probably star wars

however as far as best movies, dumb and dumber or supertroopers

Maybe Rocky Horror Picture Show. I mean how many other movies have theatre dress up showings that encourage crowd interactions and shit EVERY single year. Granted, every movie that is HUGE is gonna have crazy fan followings, but a true cult classic should be somewhat under the radar of mainstream. It is for this reason I can't consider movies like star wars a cult classic, that is a just plain classic if you ask me.

I'd say many of the ones already mentioned here, but i'd also add American Pyscho, pretty cult and my favourite movie of all time.

pretty much all the top ones i can think of are already mentioned here. another classic though is harold and maude

YES YES YES YES YES!!!!

happy to say I've seen it 8 times now, and each time as good as the last. an fucking Wiseau is coming to Ottawa soon!!!

it's so epic to see when you have a good crowd. Ottawa crowd is always amazing

we were just talking about this film in my screenwriting class. sounds like going to a screening of it is a lot of fun, i'm intrigued for sure

bring spoons. bring a LOT of spoons. plastic ones of course. and bring an extra set of vocal chords. you won't be disappointed.

well the first thing that popped into my head was the freaking LAND BEFORE TIME!
I feel like that monty python holy grail movie has a big cult, not into it myself but I have mass respect for it.

haha ok i'll keep that in mind if i get a chance to see it. I'd be seeing it somewhere in LA which I'm guessing would be pretty wild

cult classic: A work of fiction that is extremely popular with a select audience but may or may not be successful at the time of the work's original publication
