Doing a paper for school about the ski industry and need some help NS!

What do you think the ski industry is missing?

What needs to change?

What technology needs to change in the industry?

What aspect of the ski industry hasn't changed but needs too change?

Any info about what the ski industry is missing let me know, there are no wrong answers!

Pick a new topic, writing about skiing is never easy, you've basically dug yourself into a huge hole of no information. Plus, it seems like you don't want to do any work and are just asking people to figure out your topic for you...

This.

People might even think they're asking for help but what they're doing is just being lazy and not wanting to do anything.

Everyone has those"I can think of what to write" moments. All they do is actually keep thinking, and make it happen. Choose another topic if necessary.

On most of these papers you could write about anything. You could even write something fucked up and edgy. Your teacher doesn't care what you're writing about as much as how you you write it and if it meets the criteria she has set out for the assignment.

Be like nike. Get off the internet and just fucking do it.

Do something else, I wrote my huge junior research paper on how global warming affects the ski industry and it was easy to answer but the paper had to be longer than a few sentences saying "global warming causes snowfall to decrease and that means nobody will ski eventually and the industry will disappear."

If anything all the industry needs is solid winter weather to boost sales.

As much as writing about your passion sounds like a good idea, it's hard to get a good grade on it due to the lack of information throughout the topic you picked.

Keep your love of skiing, but keep it out of your school work, your grades will thank you.

Nah youre good OP, nothing wrong with doing a ski essay as a) if you love skiing then youre more likely to enjoy researching it and b) a unique topic such as skiing will make you stand out. I've done a few essays on skiing (mostly from a geographical perspective) and apply decent theory to research (comb through articles on NS, freeskier etc for facts/figures, look to see if some areas have chambers of commerce- whistler produces an economic report pretty often) and its doable

If I were you, focus on the environment as thats where most literature related to skiing is. Look at whether the high energy and water costs of snow cannons will make them unsustainable and whether dryslopes may start being used more to scoop up demand left over as more mountains (especially east coast and possible Cali) shut down due to low snowfall

Look at a topic you can relate to skiing that will have A LOT of material to work with...because ski industry won't have much info online from reputable sources that you can use in a college paper. Look at water conservation, pollution, etc something you can relate back to skiing but also has a ton of research online

The ski industry (in america) is missing access, when you have all of these companies creating artificial surfing waves, wakeboarding parks for people who dont have boats, indoor ski areas, dry slopes (europe) we are so behind on technological advances within the american ski industry when it comes to skiing, and one ski hill has finally gotten on the summer snow train. (not hood)

honestly if you want an easy paper to write, talk about how ski industry is falling behind access to other extreme sports, and needs to stop depending on mother nature to give us a season.
