I took care of a friends chinchilla for a week, and it was definitely not chin-chillin'. I was disappointed, but I'm sure they just treated it like shit. Had some friends with Sugar Gliders, they're way cute, just chill with it in your hoodie pouch and you can put them up on high stuff and make 'em jump. Kinda stinky though. I had a one of these guys, a tokay gecko, for a couple weeks until he escaped, fiesty little fuck. Ended up seeing it like 6 months later just chillin behind the toilet back. We dubbed him the Lizard King, you would randomly see him in super random spots around the house. Im pretty sure he was still alive when we moved out.

my gf has a pet chinchilla. they shit non stopped, but they have mad crazy parkour skills.

Get a small animal that you can walk around with in your pocket. I had 3 squirrels once and it was super fun to keep them in my shirt and let them walk around my shoulders

i have a really similar story that is just as ridiculous. i had two tropical frogs as pets and they were so cool but one stopped eating and died. the other one was lonely so i would take it out so it could hang out in my house, then one day i forgot that i left it out and didn't know where it went. i checked everywhere in my house thinking it would turn up. finally i gave up and thought that he was lost. time went on. and then 3 months later my neighbors found a frog in their garden. turns out it was mine. it had some scars on its head but i was so happy. and thats how my frog survived outside for 3 months. consider this is in vermont
