what is the biggest cliff you have dropped

i dont get your logic, heres an extreme example, Seth Morrison comes to a cliff, roughly 20 feet, its on a 50 degree slope, he sends it and lands 90 feet down. would u say he dropped a 20fter or a 90fter?
 
8 footer at Chesnut Mountain. (Illinois) Thats about the max, anything bigger you have to try to hide from the ski patrol or they rope it off.
 
thats the scariest part, getting around that corner, and its a scary looking corner. the drops like a 15 into a 30 maybe... not that bad.

The size of the CLIFF refers to the size of the CLIFF. The size of the DROP refers to the size of the DROP. This is not a difficult concept.

You don't come speeding into a 5 ft cliff and send it 50ft downhill while hovering a max height of 5 ft off the ground the whole time, then go around claiming you dropped a "50 ft cliff." That's ridiculous and annoyingly, a lot of people do this.

yeah ok i see what you mean in your above post but you were not clear before, see when i read your previous post (quoted) its kinda contridictory so it made little sense. but yea i pretty much agree with you, i would say that kid sent a 20 ft cliff like 40ft
 
Nice! I never thought of doing this... thanks for putting this together. And not to mention the only reason the rock is 15ft is because its buried in a 15 foot base last year
 
Just get to peak chair early on a pow day and you'll see it get hit plenty. Like Josh says a double stager of about 15 to 35 depending on the snow. The biggest downfall people have on that thing is trying to get a turn in before the 2nd stage of it.
 
some of those were pretty big, that picture made it look a lot more intense for some reason. I actually want to go there and see it, and see if i would drop it, cause it doesn't look that big, and the landing looks nice. But it's a video, i want to see if i would actually hit it. It's so much ballsier to hit that on a snowboard! thats insane
 
That's the thing about Jordan, it's a Shoshone hit and the approach is scary. You just have to be ready to stomp the piss out of it... And then rip right into third step and boost that... Perfect trick platform. Kinda makes me miss Whistler just thinking about it. Ha
 
The picture is taken with a much wider-angle lens which stretches out the perspective significantly, making it look bigger. Plus it's a given that cliffs are always a lot more intimidating when you're standing at the top of them.
 
i did a 35 footer on dragons teeth in vail 2 winters ago. before that was 20 or so, tough to find large cliffs on the east coast. or, tough to have enough snow to survive them.
