What is one thing you wish your phone did?

Sup ns, I'm trying to design a new mobile apllication that does something useful.... that your phone doesnt already do. its for a programming contest, and i must say its a sweet gig. I need some help deciding what more people would want though, So my question is, is there anything you wish your phone did that it doesn't(that an application can do)? And what is your favorite aspect of owning a phone?
 
I wish mine could reproduce....
Nothing like a 450 on to my hip.
But honestly, I think a sick app would be a Herp Derp app. You could just paste crazy eyes onto any picture. I know they have a pedo bear one.
 
originally android platform... there is also another lucrative development contract offered for applications native to nokias platform, and i had planned to adapt any app i come up with for that as well

Thats sweet. I just finished a class where we developed for android. I went into the class without any Java experience so that sucked pretty bad.

We made a pretty dumb app with a programmable bank of buttons that could pull up websites, pictures, etc...

I was trained in C, java is way too structured for me haha

Anyway, good luck, keep us posted im sure we'll be swaying a vote for this down the road!
 
this had crossed my mind honestly haha, but it doesnt seem possible to be able to do all the different tricks on a phone without a keyboard, and i dont know if its worth all those hours developing with such a limited demographic or whatever. its a good idea though, as far as the ns community goes haha
 
an app that creates a signal or has a unique number for that phone where if lost or stolen I can log on to a website and pin point its exact location.
 
this would go great with the credit card reader app for iphone. weigh out your shit, get paid on the spot with plastic and then later on you dont have to worry about shooting some dumbass in the kneecaps cause his broke stupid ass wasted all his dollars in the stripclubs. hes the credit card companys problem now.
 
yeah it's a good idea, but there already is one haha. you can locate your phone online via it's gps, share that info with the police, and you can even type in a password and turn it into a brick so it's useless to whoever stole it
 
Like that except something where you could set a time to change your ringer type... so from 9-5 you could set it to silent but it would switch to ring as soon as 5 oclock rolled around, and the next morning it would go automatically back to silent.
 
Thats actually a very good idea and I think pretty doable as well! I should have come to you guys for my project ahha
