What is cab?

cab is switch frontside. so its unnatural foot forward, initiating your spin with the front of your body facing down the feature.

wow, thank you. cab is not switch backside, or switch frontside. it isn't switch. it's fakie. it comes from skateboarding. it's more or less a switch-nollie. except fakie came first, so a switch-nollie is called fakie.
Now, fakie spins are called cab thanks to Steve Caballero.

ive always heard of it as going from fakie/switch to regular.
you can half cab 180 deg
full cab 360or 540 cab. explains the rest of it

I assume you're asking because you were watching x games? It's switch frontside. I would know because, well look at my username... It came from skating and Steve caballero because he did fakie nollie frontside spins. But who cares because skateboarding is gay.

agreed. i only know of cabs from bmx. i do a half cab from pedaling backwards and doing a 180 bunnyhop to go forwards

It's not switch frontside. It's any spin off the nose of the board while riding backwards.
And have some respect.

History lesion!

Well the "Cab" spin came do be when Steve CABallero(Skateboarder) would so switch FRONTside 360...Other wise known as the "Full Cab"......But your answer is SWITCH FRONTSIDE.

^I'm not trying to question your knowledge about skating. But on the snow, it's just switch frontside. Not nollie or switch back or anything. Just legit deity frontside on a snowboard.

Lol hardway? Dude, that's for rails... As in coming into a rail on your toe edge with your stomach facing towards the rail and spinning Away from the rail. And obviously vice versa; coming in on your heels with your back to the rail. You would never call one direction of spinning harder than the other. That just doesn't make sense. Granted, for most people switch backside is the hardest to learn at first. But I have a friend who can throw switch backside double corks. Yet he can only spin a 9 on his normal backside. It's all based on personal preference.

Yes hardway. And yes that is for rails. As in a cab 270 on. Or a cab hardway 270 on. Sorry, I'm from minnesota. Didn't realize we were talking about jumps at all. And in that case it very well may be switch frontside for jumps. But for rails, cab can be either direction.
