What is a good camera for me?

Hey,

so recently I have had some extra money and I am wanting to upgrade from a GoPro.

What would be a good camera for me? I mainly plan to use it for skiing and skateboarding videos. I am an intermediate level editor, but new to the filming world. Any suggestions would be great

Canon t3i! its a wonderful cam, so many more great features than a gopro.

are you looking for a camera or a camcorder? sounds like you will mostly be doing film so maybe look at camcorders not cameras.

T3i is a great intro dslr to shoot with! I have one and love it! lots of lens options and many more features then a gopro!

T3i is a really popular camera and easy to use. I would also look into some of the Sony DSLRs, for instance the A65 will have continuous AF while shooting video and shoots 60fps, both of which come in handy
