I don't even ride twin tips. I think that applies for many skiers but for some I think its wider skis and rocker saved skiing.

Well I probably would be some gaper racer (sorry racers) skiing would be pretty boring (to me) as It would basically add quite a few restrictions to park skiing no buttering no 180s or any trick were you land back wards is off limits. Plus It would be way more difficult to progress you would go from learning straight airs straight to 3s off jumps. (Also I snowboard anyway (don't hate) so I would just do it more)

It is definitely the parabolic shape and rocker/camber that saved skiing. I can't imagine any situation where skis wouldn't have become what they are now and there is no way snowboards would be parabolic and have rocker/camber and skis wouldn't.

before i got into skiing i was a snowboarder. and i even tried snowblades when i was young. but it was when i discovered twin tips that i really fell in love with the sport and moved on from snowboarding
