this was my first year attempting this. i had never even seen a cardboard boat before. it was fun as hell though. we had probably 10 people building it, took about 10-15 hours over 2 days and costed about 100 bucks. we piled 6 people into the boat and it floated for a good 4 minutes.

the goal is to make it to the island princess (big boat) and back and then once you get there you just start attacking other boats.

wurd up.

naw there were awards for biggest, smallest, longest floating (one never sank) quickest sinking and the titanic award (best sinking).

there was about 20 boats there and we didnt get any awards.

Hey we have something in common! We made a cardboard Jeep for Belleayre's 2007 Cardboard Classic - shoot down a prepared slope and off the jump if you could make it. We did!

Only thing allowed to construct was cardboard and duct tape. Hint: line the bottom with duct tape and you fly!!

it wasnt disapointing at all. it was fun as hell. what do i want an award for a cardboard boat for?

it wasnt in nova scotia, im from a small town called orillia in ontario.

and thats sick snwbrdmilf. what was the jump into? water?

No not water. The slope was actually built rollercoaster-y, most didn't make it past that. Then at the end they had a big barrier that ski patrollers were standing at to "catch" you when you were going to fast. Let's say they were bowling pins for us :)

It was so much fun, seriously. There were these other guys who built a Partridge Family bus with their heads sticking out the top. Then they rolled....ooooh it was hilarious!

haha yes...i just did a cardboard boat float saturday at the lake in my town...we had 5 people in our boat and a cooler of beer...lots of fun. cant wait til next year

Haha - we won a certificate for Best Design. But there were these little girls who made this sick as hell dragon, so we gave it to them! We were one of two groups to make it down and over, so that was enough for us :)
