What happened to SNL?

I've been a fan for a while, ever since I saw older SNL skits, but to my dissapointment I feel like SNL hasn't been that funny for a while. Besides Kenan Thompson getting a few laughs out of me here and there I feel like some of the stuff is just not funny anymore, is it just me or do other people think so too?

meh, id give it some time. this crew has really only been together since the 40th season, both acting and writing. until they can capitalize on their actors talents the show is bound to feel a bit empty. and yeah its liberal, its NBC... id still say they do a good job of poking fun at everyone and not just the republican politicians
