What happened to Pléhouse Films?

Their movies are what got me hooked on skiing. Plehouse, D-Structure, Newschoolers -- basically all the rad shit that was going down in my backyard.

Maybe we should do a Plehouse Q&A? I'm sure I can rally the guys to answer some questions... Maybe I could even twist a few arms and see if we can get any of their movies online. Thoughts?

Yes please. Would love to see what the 3 Phils and Thomas Rinfret are up to. And since I have the day off and it's raining, I'm gonna watch Exact Science right meow.

Plehouse was rad. I credit them for fusing cinematographic arts with skiing. Plus it was a Quebec based film production with local talents. I still have all their movies and still watch them once in awhile.

There were some rumors running around. After the death of Eric Simard, things were not coming together anymore. Another was the retirement of most of the athletes. Another was lack of funds. It would be nice to hear someone set the record straight.

they made some good movies, cinematography wise they were one of if not the best. Still much prefer 16mm to anything digital these days. 2003-2008 was like the golden age in ski movies

I remember one of the main guys posting about how he was sick of everyone sitting around talking about how rad next year was going to be so he got a real job.

It was a little heavy handed with the environmental aspect, but I watched Save a few weeks ago, and it still holds up. Charles Gagnier is just such an amazing skier.
