They also changed the seth vicious to the "seth". But thats because of the legal problems they are dealing with.
 
like "pistol" and "vicous" are parts of old 80s bands sex pistols, and sed vicous was a member ( seth pistols and seth vicous), get it?
 
it shouldnt matter (the legal stuff) considering that music and skiing have nothing to do with that.

they use to have a little site for freeskiing, but now its just another section of their evilempire.
 
that is a different style of a copywright issue, K2 was using those words and graphics in a manner that directly referenced the sex pistols, that is their inteluctual property, apple and apple are just nouns. if apple computers had used the same symbol or anything that directly referenced the original recording company to further their product they would be liable for damages. it was a rip off and k2 should have to pay, or halt the use, I don't think that what they were doing is part of fair usage because it is a direct reference.
 
The Made'ns have the image of Eddie on them as well, which must belong exclusively to iron Maiden. If they're not getting any royalties for that they're getting screwed.

they still have that site www.k2factoryteam.com, or were you talking about sethpistol.com because that got taken down with the legal isues.

also the skis were a very close link with the sex pistols. the pistols or who ever owns the rights now might have thought K2 was useing the connection to make more money. And ingeneral if they let K2 get away with it another company would do it, and then another. and so on and so on.
