I know he got hurt, but he was so good? Its amazing to see how much the face of skiing changes year after year. Can you name one proskier who has been in the business for 10 years who has not had a major injury? And no you can't say Sammy or Simon. The small guys are not prone to as much hurt. You can't say JP either.

This is not about Corey. It just proves skiing is a little bit fucked up. If you make it your gonna get hurt. If you don't you are prob hurt or you suck. Jon is the only real pro skier on the money list who is still got all his ligaments. It is just a fucked up game. I can understand why people associate it with Tall Tees and street life.
 
nobody really gives a fuck what you do in life. Thats a matter of fact. Being able to get out of bed pain free when your thirty I would say is about the dopest trick you could pull. Bobby brown will forever be known has the crack head husband who beat whitney houston. 6 corks is not going to re write the books of history.
 
i doubt that bobby gives a shit if people dont know him better than the other BB. he's having the time of his life and getting paid to do so...
 
Hahaha shit I remember that thread. That was great. Some kid called him out and he just quoted him with "Haha, fuck you." or something like that.
 
He still kills it. Just slays mostly bc, you wont find him in the breck park on the reg. How about pep, polllard and benchetler? I dont think they have had serious injuries. Jon has stayed pretty healthy.

Speaking from an older guy, you learn that the risk is sometimes not worth the reward. I know 14 year olds are trying double corks but im all set spinning 7's. I think its great to see a large number of "pro" skiers from my generation transition out of the park and form another niche in bringing tricks to the backcountry.

They make it seem possible to make a career in the "freestyle" industry after 22.

PS im drunk sorry if that is incoherent.(A major injury doesnt kill your career, you just have to adapt)
 
pep blew his knee i am pretty sure. chris broke the shit out of his femur. I would count that but he is still very much in the game. I am not sure about ep.
 
polllard broke his back like a while ago on a large hip up at hood. had to get helicopter out n such, but that was a long time ago

 
Are you suggesting that Tanner "I have a tattoo for every lifechanging injury" Hall has never been injured?
 
the story of this thread is be smart and start playing golf like JF. Sammy is the best skier out there right now who has been around for a long while. JON has all his parts but JON has not been out there street skiing. He is just manufacturing items with opportune physics at this point.

You guys are all wrong. He saw the senior pranks thread and wanted to test the famous mattress in pool prank. While doing so, he was trapped under the mattress and sunk to the bottom. It was rumored that while the crane was getting Cvan and the said mattress out of the pool, Ski patrol had mistaken the crane as chads gap. As a result they blew the crane up. Cvan was never recovered.
 
yes, but the other dimension was full of solid 7's so he put on his robe and wizard hat and got the hell out of there
