What goes into choosing a park boot?

Im currently helping my brother buy a ski boot. He skis half park half all mountain. I ski the Dalbello il moros as they are great in the park and do a good job handling else, but recently I've seen a bunch of skiers who prefer high flex race boots for their boot and I was just wondering if there is some kind of logic behind this or is everything just preference? What technologies/features have a benefit in the park?

I've read that thread and it's a bit too general and basic. Is there anything more in-depth on park boot technology and like what makes a difference? or is it really all just preference?

1. Marketing.

2. Shock absorbing boot boards & spoilers.

The ultimate thing that makes a boot work for park is that it properly fits the park skier wearing it.

Not sure what the definition of a "park" boot is anymore, Softer flex? who knows . Whatever feels best on your brothers feet..use those

Cabrio (3 piece) boots like your il moro's are ideal for park and all mountain because of the shock absorption and versatility

No such thing as a park boot. A good boot that fits the skier properly will be ideal everywhere on the mountain. The second consideration after fit is the way you ski, and this determines what flex and profile you want. But ultimately, park skiing is skiing. So find a great ski boot and you'll have a great park boot

Choose a boot that fits your feet properly with a flex that suits your anatomy and skill level, then you use that boot in the park and it's a "Park Boot" the end.
