What Full Tilt Tongue?

So I'm 6'1'' 180lbs. I was wondering what tongue I should get for the booters. With a 4 flex I was thinking the tongue that comes with the booters is a bit soft for all mountain riding. What would be a good tongue for me if I still want to ski some trees and powder and kill it in the park?

get the eights and by them a size bigger then your boot would normally take they will fit just fine its incredible how much more preformance you will have , i have the konflikts and i love them, but seriously try to find the older model toungs there completely different

If you charge bigger lines or hit alot of cliffs, definitely go with a 10. If your riding park and aren't charging at super high speed, then go with something like an 8.

I have a question about full tilt boots... probably could get it answered in a shop but.. I'm not at one...

If someone bought konflicts and had no intention of charging big mtn lines and used it as an all mountain / park boot... can you really just change the tongue and essentialy you'll get a... Drop Kick / Hotdogger boot? or are they actually different..???

it'll be softer, you can get different tongues that very from soft to stiff. It'll be the just like the Hotdogger or Drop Kick.

Get another tongue if you want, #6 or #4, you'll be able to swap them up from whenever you feel like it.

Honestly, flex has very little to do with where you ski. Finding the correct flex has more to do with how much you weigh, your ankle flexibility, and what younare used to.

For example, 2 skiers, same exact skill level, skiing the same exact terrain but one weighs 120 lbs and the other is 220 lbs. Would they use the same tongue set up for park? Or charging big lines? No way. A 4 might be perfect for park for the lighter guy but way way too soft for the bigger guy.

My point is, it doesn't make much sense to ask what tongue should you use for park and what tongue should you use for powder. It would be more of "what tongue should I use if I am 150 lbs and used to skiing in 100 flex boot"? Once you fin the right flex tongue for your subjective needs it will be great on any terrain.

appreciate your response! thanks!

What I'm more curious about is... does anything else in the construction of the boot make a difference in where it should or should not be ridden?

Is the shell of the konflict (not the tongue part) different than say the shell of the drop kick?

if not how can the price very so much when all thats changed is liner and tongue flex...(i think)?

Don't think it is different. The different models of Full Tilt boots are all combinations of different footboards, different tongues, graphics and buckle material. You won't change the construction of the boot, it'll be a Konflict, but softer tongue.

i think the shells are identical. my guess the only difference is that the konflicts probably have a solid plastic boot board (the piece underneath your foot) and the drop kicks may have a rubber one (i know the hotdoggers do).

as for the price difference, it mostly comes down to good marketing.
