My hmc40 has a 43mm filter thread and I’m tryna figure out weather to get a 37mm opteka or 52mm for it and then a step up/step down ring.

Also get the 52mm the 32mm is tiny

Yeah the 37mm is small but it’s also 80$ less which would give me enough money to buy a light also and save some money. Is it rly gonna look bad or what?

I’m more concerned about the footage idrc how the lense looks on the camera. It’s only a 4 or 5 mm difference from 43-37. I just wanna know If the footage will look lame as hell

just look up opteka 37mm fisheye on YouTube and there should be some footage there

also if you end up wanting to go with the 37mm after watching some footage with it on youtube I can hook you up with a good deal on mine because I don't use it that much anymore. and also a lot of the opteka fisheyes made this year have a really bad-looking blue vignette but mine doesn't

another thing I forgot to mention is that I'm guessing with using a step-down ring the black vignette will be more visible I personally like it but I don't know your preference

Always go bigger, a 37mm fish is gonna be a circle in the middle of your image without zooming in and losing quality.
