guess you missed the cheap part. I assume I could torrent it though
no don't that is really bad advice and only works on mac devinchi has been industry standard in color and with the new version 16, it has all the Hollywood level tools even though its free. there is a reason why this program is taking Hollywood by storm

devinchi resolve 16 watch some youtube vids about it free one is almost as good as the paid one

I can vouch for resolve, super intuitive and detailed

Your best bet is

Davinci resolve, free and a bunch of great tutorials, the best color grading too

Or crack premiere. It's so easy

Are there any tutorials? I've been looking for a way to get premier for a while

Davinci is great and you can’t go wrong with iMovie either. I use iMovie because I can’t justify FCPX for 300 bones but it’s fantastic. There’s a lot of features on iMovie that aren’t really obvious at first but you can do a whole lot with it if you watch a tutorial or 2

FYI, final cut is $200 USD in the apps for education bundle. Dirt cheap for professional software

What do you mean? The software on its own is cheap?

in the realm of professional software yes that's dirt cheap to get all those apps, FCPX alone for $300 is still arguably cheap when you compare the recurring monthly subscription cost of Premiere for example, or apps in all sorts of other professions.

Not sure how serious you are about editing but when you start to bump into the relatively big walls of iMovie, $200 is a huge upgrade, and you're not renting it, you own it.

That’s a good point, I’ve tried premiere and I like it but subscribing to it seems ridiculous. Thanks for the advice man
