What does Vails canyons/pc expansion mean?

I mean, instead of skiing down from the top of the mountain (aprox 5-10 mins) getting into your car and driving to canyons (another 5-10 mins) and riding up two lifts to get to the top of canyons (15-20 mins) for a grand total of 25-40 minutes you can now ski to the gondola from the top (5mins tops) ride the gondola (probs 15-20 mins) and then take 5 lifts over to the top of canyons (like at least 30 mins) for a grand total of 45-50 mins. BUT option two you dont take your skis off and you have to do it back to your car.

AKA its a marketing strategy.

Yeah they just wanted to steal the bragging right from Big Sky, but from what eheath and other PC locals have said, it doesn't even make sense to try to ski both in a day. At Big Sky you can actually ski back and forth between Moonlight and Big Sky all day and do sick riding since you can drop into either MB or BS from the tram or Challenger. Claims like "biggest skiing in America" is what brings in those rich tourists that have the $$$ to spend on things other than skiing at the resort though, and those are the guests you want if you're running a ski resort.

Yeah I went to big sky a few weeks ago and we easily could ski both. Also not to mention the terrain is 100 times better at big sky vs pc.

being able to ride the gondola to the top of pinecone ridge is cool But otherwise it's just a tours it thing. I'll definitely ride it like 2 times next year.

so what does this mean?

big sky marketing department is going to be busy this summer rebranding. Whoever makes signs for them is foaming at the mouth right now, they slapped a "biggest skiing in america" on everything they possibly could

They'll probably add continuous or some other word and an asterisk.

sounds similar to the whole thing solitude and Brighton have

also Alta and snowbird.

Except you need two passes to ski at those two resorts, pc/canyons is one ticket/pass.
