Crazy how companies will make millions just off rebranding an old tabacco product thats been rotting mans teeth and gums for a century just by slapping a trendy name, neon packaging on it and rebranding it to kids.

You gotta be smarter than the branding man. Unless youve been on the chew for a decade then why start with Zynn?

My favorite shit is when people say this unironically, as if weed is even remotely comparable to nicotine

Where does the nicotine come from then

It is made from tobacco because it's a cheap source of nicotine, but it's extracted to a purity high enough that the source is irrelevant, it's just nicotine. Nowadays they're moving to synthetic nicotine so it can be marketed as tobacco-free and the cost of synthetic nicotine will probably continue to decrease, reckon it makes the whole manufacturing process easier.

back in my day you had destroy your lungs or gums to get addicted to nicotine. You kids are too soft these days.

Funny thing is it's already been nerfed, either by law or the fact that Swedish Match knows they can sell a dogshit version of their product to Americans and they'll eat that shit up. Swedish Zyns, Lyft, and Velo are far superior in every way.

zyns are objectively better for you than probably every other form of nicotine intake aside from patches or gum, they’re also quite a bit cheaper than tobacco or vapes (especially generic).

Okay true. That makes sense I guess it saves your lungs. But I wouldnt trust whatever theyre putting in them. Someone on here said the nicotine is synthetic and not derived from tobacco, maybe false but sounds sketchy to me. There also has to be some sort of preservatives. Plus who knows what else. So what makes you think theyre healthier than other tobacco products?

I assumed they would be expensive so thats interesting, how much is a tin?

Nicotine is not some extremely complex molecule, the synthesis is really not that complicated and can be produced just like any other pharmaceutical, although it is still mostly derived from tobacco to a pure salt. Theoretically, all that could be in pouches would be the nicotine, as a salt it's stable so I don't know why they'd need any preservatives, along with generic food-grade flavorings and cellulose to pack it out. When you look up ingredients some of the brands use it isn't much longer than that with sweeteners and some preservatives I guess for the flavorings to last. As well as having some additives to increase the pH as that apparently increases the bioavailability of nicotine.

I do think they're healthier than smoking and vaping as (as much as people don't realize) nicotine itself isn't a carcinogen, so with pouches, unlike dip there is no risk of mouth cancer, while snus has an ambiguous answer of whether it is linked to mouth or pancreatic cancer. With pouches, it is only a question of the dangers of nicotine, not the many substances in tobacco that could be cancer-causing or otherwise unhealthy.

idk what it's like in the States but a tin is just slightly cheaper than a pack, although vaping is probably cheaper than both right now.
