What do you think of my band NS?

If you were looking to get real serious, you could try getting WFNX from massachusettes to play your stuff. It sounds like stuff I would hear on there
 
Sounds slightly Pink Floydian... I dig it. The Wolf song reminds me of some of the noodlier songs on Atom Heart Mother but has a few elements that I'd expect to find in Animals and Meddle.

I like it a lot, and it sounds good. I'd download an album for sure

 
I liked it. You guys have really good vocal harmonies.

Being in a band of the same genre (sort of) I have just a few suggestions:

1.) Spend a little more time mixing the tracks. The drums were a little loud and so were the vocals at times. (not by a lot by any means, like just a few tenths of a decibel too loud).

2.) Put a bit more reverb on the acoustic guitar in Woods Medley and keep the reverb on the vocals for the whole song (not just for the chorus).

3.) The descending guitar notes in Woods Medley during the chorus are cool but they're really loud and distracting. Definitely put some reverb on that and I would personally see what some chorus and/or phasor would sound like on it too.

4.) This is the main thing I noticed. The drumming style is too tech and sporadic. Drummer need to chill his style out for this genre and use more ride cymbal and/or floor tom. If he played the ride instead of the hats during the chorus of Wood Medley it'd sound really nice.

Not trying to hate by any means. I love your music and it's tastes of flamenco and psychedelic. I just hate it when I ask someone to tell me what they think I could do to help my music and they're just like, "Oh, it was really cool!".

Stop trying to sound like the beach boys
Tone down the background singing, or at least try to add some counterpoint because none of you have amazing voices.
Change the guitar tone. It was annoying and whiny.
Get some direction for your songs.

All in all, certainly not the worst I ever heard. I like it but it needs tweaking and direction. May I suggest a 12 string?
 
Shit man. Tone down the hate. That was barely constructive criticism. You are turning into the next Skiierman (in a bad way). May I suggest an attitude change?
 
These are but very rough copies. most of the songs were taken from jams we had over time. The mix will eventually be much better. My buddy who does the recording is at Berkley school of music for production so it should sound super nice.

As to the drumming, again it was just some jams so it does sound too busy. Ive been playing for a long ass time and completely understand the style and simplicity aspect.

1. Whether you're trying or not, you sound terribly close to the Beach Boys with your swooping bachground vocals. The only difference is, they don't mesh, you don't counterpoint, and they aren't particularly pleasant. One of them takes the high notes, a couple of them provide the main melody section, and one of them takes the low notes. This is the basis of Doowop. That being said, you did it on Kiddiez pretty well, although whoever took the high notes does not have a good falsetto.
2.Change the guitar tone. Really. It doesn't sound very good. That one was right on. The slide guitar is annoying. Try turning the tone knob down or increasing the mids and bass. Sounds sweet. Trebly slide guitar is just mean to your fans. Or better yet, switch to coricidin or thick glass slides instead of the thin glass you've got.
3. Your songs are pretentiously multi-parted with no direction. They don't have good lead ins to the next part of the song, and they sort of drone one because they're not that different. Look up some Paul McCartney solo albums to study how this is best done.
 
Dont talk about not reading a full post. if you look and read my posts i explained that they were rough jams and we pieced together. Live recordings, not perfectly mixed, finalized tracks. And we dont have to stick to any "Harmony rules". its music you can do what ever you want.

That's true. You can do whatever you want. I didn't really set any rules down, but gave you examples of how to do what you're trying to do - but if you don't want to try and learn from every other band in existence that can do it right, then okay. That's your deal.
