What do you plan on doing after High School?

I'm currently in grade 10 and after high school I plan on moving to Whistler and skiing and working for a couple of years then I would like to go to university. Anyone doing anything similar? What are your plans after high school?

how do you have money for that? Also, FYI, you're gonna have a rough first year or two at the university. Taking time off from school for that amount of time, then going back to it (not to mention that college is 50x tougher than HS), won't be easy. Also getting into a good University would be tough too. Good luck though

i intend to go to whatever shitty state school i get into on the west coast and have a good time and ski a lot...

Well for graduating my grandparents will give me 5 grand and my parents will help me pay bills and stuff and I have had a job for quite a while now so I have close to $8000 saved up. I plan on getting a job there right away hopefully at whistler blackcomb or something like that. Also a couple of my friends are coming down to so we'd share rent and live in an apartment together. And yeah I have thought of the challenge of returning to school and applying for university but I think i'd rather just take a chance and enjoy the experience and worry about that after.

location is a big part for me with colleges, i am going to ski a lot and go to a college in colorado, utah, oregon, or montana.

Have you thought about going to school at like... USC or something and just ski on the side? From what I hear you can still get 80+ days a season

Haha I'm also taking a year off and working at whis, hopefully as a liftie. After that, UBC

I live in Canada so I'd probably just attend a university here because they cost way less and are easier to get into. Whistler is only 14 hours away from where I live now so it's not too far away from home. I considered attending University in Vancouver and skiing on the side but I've decided I'd rather just try full time skiing and attend university after because it would cut down quite a bit on skiing days. And my marks are pretty good so I don't think it would be too difficult to get into university a couple years after graduation.
