What do pro skiers do when they arent pro anymore?

You hopefully have a back up plan in mind. Most skier aren't earning much when they're pros, and unless you're a big name pro, you probably don't have much if anything saved up once your career is over.

So you do what professional athletes of all sorts do - try and pursue some other sort of career. I'd imagine it would be hard going from one of the best in the world at what you did to inevitably nowhere near the top in your new profession, but such is life.

I've always feel like the pro skiers become so connected with so many people and companies, that it'd be pretty easy for them to pick up a job with any ski company/resort/etc. Maybe I'm wrong.

I know for example when Tom wallisch was in Park city he enrolled in a bunch of online programs to later on get a degree because I quote,"you can't ski forever" - Tom Wallisch

Don't forget the buffer period between pro and total phase out... There's at least a year of throwback/"don't forget" edits accompanied with novel length facebook posts about how they're going to be ok.
