What do name colors and $ signs mean?

Hi everybody,

As it is easy to tell I'm still a newbie to Newschoolers and I'm still trying to figure everything out. My question is what do the different color of names mean? Blue, pink, red, green, etc. Also, what do the variating $ signs mean behind certain people's names mean? Yellow, purple, circular orange one, etc.

Blue - normal/guy member

Pink - girl member

Red - NS staff

Green - site moderator

Orange - industry people

$ variations are just different tiers of donator status which you can see here.
