What do I need to practice for my driving test?

So I am taking my driving test on september 6th. I would like to know just what to practice for my road test. I know it's just driving like you should on a normal basis but I'm a little worried there is some stuff I haven't really done yet. So far I know that I need to:-Parallel Park-Park (in general)-obey speed limits-Watch for signs-Know what to do at uncontrolled intersections
And some other stuff as well. I wanted to take driver training but I dont have enough time before I get my license anymore so I'm not. Anything anyone else can add? I live in Alberta, Canada by the way (Although that shouldn't really matter as you have to parellel park and such everywhere)
Help would be appreciated! Just add some basic things that you had to do on your drivers tests!
 
i suggest pre gaming before your test, the thc well obviously make you a safer and better drive, i only drive like you do when you have your temps, when im high, other wise im terriably mutli tasking

dude dont worry about it, i hit a snow back 4 seconds after getting into my driving test car, and the woman was like, no big, these roads are narrow, i still passed, accident and ticket free for 18 months
 
I'm getting close to having to take my driving test, first I have to get my permit though, but I can't get that until October.

You really have to be able to parallel park in your driver's test though? That's not a requirement here in CA. I don't know if it's a requirement anywhere in the states. Makes for shit drivers though. Good luck though man. Hopefully you pass.
 
^^ not meant to jack this thread, but is there any real law that forbids drifting on public places as long as you remain within the speed limit and in your own lane, etc... I dont think its actually forbidden.....
 
actually i don't know. because a cop could argue public endangerment or something like that... if your drift went wrong, bye-bye little girl on the sidewalk with a balloon. hello bloody patch.

USE YOUR MIRRORS,DONT TURN AROUND AND LOOK FOR CARS ETC...

DONT MAKE SHITTY STOPS.

I GOT POINTS OFF FOR ALL OF THOSE.
 
reckless driving, unable to maintain control of motor vehicle. there is a lot of shit they could slap you with.

anyways just learn to drive like a pussy grandma for a week and you'll be fine.
 
Key is frequently look at your mirrors. I have had many friends get bad on the test for not looking at their mirrors enough. Even when just driving striaght because its to show your aware of traffic around you.and check blind spots.
 
in NY, parrallel parking is part of every drivers test

Make sure you check your blindspot (over your shoulder) when leaving the parking spot or what ever

USE YOUR SIGNALS!!! when doing a K (3-point) turn, signal left when you come around, right when you back up, and then left again when you go out of it and continue driving. they love that shit. THREE SIGNALS
 
fuck parralell parking. my only advice is dont do what i did, the guy told me to try parralell parking in this really sketchy nieghborhood and i messed up the first time, so instead of trying again i snapped 'fuck it i failed anyway and im going to get shot'
 
wow this thread reinforces that this site is full of 14 year olds. but anyways when i took mine the big deal was to stop before the line at the stop. i watched some dude "roll into his stop" and the bitch gets out of the car and drives it back for you cuz your so shitty. so come completley stopped before the line then creep up. and when parralle parking in my state its ok to hit the curb but dont hit the cones if there are any. and most of all ask questions if your confused with the instructions. assume nothing.
 
i think it would be good that if you know someone who has already done the test and remembers most of it, go out and do the same course that they did along which the parking or whatever in certain locations

other than that practice all you are able to practice
 
yeah you need to be able to parallel park in n.y I had to do my test in a minivan I did it my first try but if you have a nice teacher they'll give you 3 tries if you do everything else perfectly.
 
well condsidering you would most likely have to exceed the speed limit to break sideways, yeah. unlesss of course you have a limited slip differential, which im pretty sure is illegal. but if you have enough torque to go sideways while straight, and you stay in your lane, i dont see why not.
 
i never had to parallel park but make sure tooo

look before you signal

stop for at least 2 seconds at stop signs

and signal into your parking spot

i got marked down for those when i took it
 
well in MA in know that you have to know how to park on a hill such as when pointing down a hill put ur wheels toward the curb and parking up a hill aim them into the road
