What defines good editing?

Lets hear your thoughts. Also, post shorts/edits that have good editing techniques. I love watching shorts/edits with strong editing.

Post up the short films/editing. I don't care if it's skiing or now.

having very little talent or experience in this area, feel free to take my thoughts with a grain of salt...but i've always felt editing is sort of like bass: it's best when you watch it once and don't really notice it, then when you go back and really look at it, you realize how awesome it actually is. gotta sort of be flowy and NEVER detract from what's actually going down.

good editing is when a videographer keeps the viewer interested all the way through while telling a story even its as simple as having a fun time.

I like my edits to tell some kind of story and make every shot mean something not just a shot to fill time. Making it flow to the tunes and a good intro always gets me stoked to watch the rest of the vid. I guess it differs from person to person, but that is what I like.

Although this doesn't appear to have that much editing going on it it when you first watch it, when you watch how it was made, you will see how much editing/compositing is actually going on.
