i wanna start filming this season and im looking for a nice starter camcorder with a good stabilization, 1080p60, decent lowlight/night filming and a good durability! (should also work when temperature drops at -15 degrees) an extra lens should also be attachable.

i dont want anything too professional just a basic model with the abilities listened above.

my budget is $300 for the camcorder only

Can you guys suggest me some camcorders? is my budget even realistic?

if you want 1080/60p the only thing that comes close to your budget is a gopro.

if you want something with interchangable lenses (dslr/some higher end camcorders) and maintain 1080/60p you're going to need to up your budget significantly...

You could probably find a T2i and a kit lens for $300, won't do 1080/60 though.

does magic latern work on t2i?

it could still look really nice.

If you have an iPhone maybe try a waterproof action case like the optrix or hit case. It essentially turns your iPhone into a GoPro (admittedly mounting it on a helmet is kind of awkward due to shape/size), and the iPhone (6 at least) already has a great camera, 8 MP with 1080p and can record in 60fps. They both also offer interchangeable lenses, including 2x telephoto and wide angle.

It's not gonna be DSLR quality but if you already have an iPhone and are on a budget, it's not an awful alternative. I have the hitcase for my 6 and like it a lot
