Ok NS. Another late night curiosity survey from me. What is that one item that's taking up a bunch of your thoughts right now, that you're constantly scanning Craigslist for, or just trying to find on sale at a retail shop?

Me? I'm trying to find a slightly-better-than-entry-level road bike, either as a complete bike, or to find all the requisite parts cheap enough to build it from scratch. Currently got my eye on a used Cannondale R1000 for about $900

Nice, road bikes are pretty fun and they get you places really quick. I ride mtb though, so I don't get to ride them too often, but they are quite fun. Good luck finding one man. I'm looking for pretty much anything. If it is pretty cool, I will want it.

probably like a D80 with a sweet fisheye lens my camera right now is alright but I need better quality and whatnot

fender j-bass or p-bass. with a decent 300 watt amp for said bass, and a good cab for said amp. and a pre amp circuit for my guitar, and a russian big muff, and a digitech whammy pedal. fuck it i'll just buy drums.

Yeah I just got into riding road about 2 months ago, bought a HEAVYYYYYY racer from the 80's which is also WAY too big for me, but I've been riding it a shit ton nonetheless. Took a spin on my buddy's super light single speed (had him flip the hub to free from fixed, I get KILLED riding fixies) and was absolutely tearing it up. I've decided I want to start actually racing towards the end of the summer/next spring, so I'm trying to get something that's a jumping off point for that.

Last night I just bought my first car!!! It's sweet, and about fucking time (considering i'm 24). '98 Subaru Legacy Brighton (5 speed). Took it out for a spin before sunset and it's a fun ride. now, I just have to wait till october when I can legally drive the damn thing.

New tires for the MTB. Looking at Maxxis ADvantages in 2.25 width.

Also keeping my eye open on SAC for a new pair of sunglasses.

I am most concerned about getting a season's pass in the fall, payig my cell phone bills and making tuition payments. Whether I can get to IF3 in sept is up in the air. As for material possessions someone I know is doing a varsity jacket via centralia knitting mills in WA state which will set me back 175. I have also had my eye on a Helmut Lang leather jacket on revolve but I think that might be more of a wish list thing. Don't need ski stuff, don't need electronics / computer stuff, don't need car stuff... I'm actually pretty set as far as materialism goes. Score!

I guess the main thing is I'll be "shopping" for a place to live in Calgary over the next 10 months.

well my dad works for a company that owns the building that a very well known bike store in NYC rents.

so as part of their rent, this company (small company) gets $6000 in store credit a year

since everyones already gotten bikes, they let us use it

so last year me and my parents went in and got bikes, i got a sick road bike

well my brother now needs a bike so hes coming home friday and we're going in

I plan on picked up some sunglasses and some other little things that may be useful, basically i dont have a limit since we dont have to pay for shit

you know those like shopping spree things? its the greatest feeling in the world when you dont have to pay for anything and can shop freely

Buying a panasonic DVC30 tonight, been wanting a new camera for so damn long. Also drivers insurance, but because i just failed my first test i can wait 2 weeks for it again. Fuck looking over your shoulder.

Niiiiice man, looks like a sick frame. Just checked their website, doope. What are you looking at for components/wheels to put on it?

I kind of keep forgetting that I need new skis this winter. Gotta scratch together some coin for that, or ride an old pair of immacculate Line Darksides from like 04 that have been in my basement for 4 years......... hmmn.

Oh yeah and a season pass.

And my car is pretty much toast......

Oh yeah and student loans.

stoked

This is why I don't need to purchase skis. More people should be thinking like you're thinking. Especially considering the price.

I usually ALWAYS have atleast one specific product on my mind that is all i can think about until i get it. but for some reason now that someone brings it up( this thread) i dont need anything right now, funny.......well besides beer for the weekend but that doesnt count.

i really want to build up a santa cruz chameleon frame to tool around campus next year...

santa-cruz-chameleon-2009-mountain-bike-frame.jpg

other then that, i constantly shop for new clothes and vinyl now that i have a table, and some trucks for my new mini would be nice.

i rode the chameleon as a singlespeed for a little while, it's a crazy fun bike, not awesome as an xc singlespeed but still super fun
i still really wanna get another one and set it up just for cruising around
