About me: i have been skiing forever... i am about 75% backcountry, Powder and 25% Park. i enjoy high speeds, less traveled areas, and a few jumps here and there... i am 5'9 170 pounds.

my skis are brand new pair of Volkl Karma 06/07 169cms

not sure which bindings would be best for me...

cost is not really a factor, i enjoy well built long lasting equipment.

i last pair of skis were K2 Public Enemy's... they were 169cm with P12 pivots... i enjoyed those bindings, never had a problem with them.

thanks for the advice.

i like my skis a bit short for a number of reasons, and also quite use to it and comfortable with a bit shorter skis

Exactly what I wouold do. If you liked them that much and never had a problem, then keep using them!

yeah either take your pivots off the PEs or look for some new ones... if you cant find pivots get some px 12s you can get them really reasonably on a lot of sites

pivots is when the heelpiece can "pivot" or twist on its base, right? it gives you a safer release or something
