good beats to listen to on roadtrips?

yes, i realize this could go along with any other music thread.

yes, i realize there is probably already a thread made regarding this subject.

HOWEVER... i love the songs you guys throw out and i want to keep it updated. i'm going to CDA this sunday and i need some good songs/artists that i may or may not know of already.

i need you to help me remember songs that i once loved.

some oldies, new-ies?, SOME DANK SHIT. i'm not partial to country though, so try to keep that selection limited.

i think it's around a 7-8 hour drive?

gracias!

try some harry chapin stuff. he's old, but i like lots of his stuff. practically all of his songs are stories so it's like goo music and good story all at the same time. You probably know the song Cats In The Cradle.

i don't know where you live or what states your going through, but i always love hearing bluegrass-yish type music while im going through the country or the mountains...i don't typically enjoy country or bluegrass but if its the right time and place its kind of nice...haha other than that you should go with some arcade fire or pheonix thats some good road music...not too intense, not too slow

I recommend Jamiroquai

Nice music in my opinion.

Nothing too distracting, and one album is mostly about cars.

i can agree with that. we live in ID and we are driving from boise up through mccall and on up to couer d alene if you're familiar. if not, i apologize haha i didn't look to see where you are from! but i might throw a couple songs on there when the guys are sleeping. i know they'll kill me they hate that shit but surprisingly i can tolerate and even enjoy it if the setting fits
