Last night when i was skiing at my local shit hole of a peak , one of my scot Jr team issue poles snapped in half. The other one was badly bent and i just chucked them in the woods. So being a kid who is his first ski season that has already been through 2 pairs of poles what should i get? I need something that would last me for a month or two i had the other poles for a month not even.

local ski store consignment shop $5 poles.

spraypainted them and dont care if i break them

line pins are pretty durable. i have the 2009 2010 kind and the only thing that happens is some paint chipping. even after 2 years of falling left and right, they have not bent or anything. sooo much sturdier than my scott poles (they were not team edition tho so idk how they stack up...) and the small grip is reallllll niceee

u need to cut down ur poles, its mad hard to bend short poles!

or get the line pins, there made out of relly nice alunimum

probably cuz theyre so small haha. No but ive heard multiple people saying lines are great. I have armadas wich are good cuz if they do break you only need to buy new shafts. Or you could do what everyone else on here seems to do which is just steal rentals.

got me some scott p4 poles 3y in and they're not even dented....
scott seems to have quite a decent rep concerning poles ...(skis as well but thats a different story)

yea but rentals look terrible, and suck, but if u want somthin longer get the line dart or lance, there relllyyy strong,

and instead of stealing rentals go to lost and found and they have five 55 gal drumbs full of em, just ask or say u lost some

Also the k2 poles that are "flexy" like skis are are indestructable! Both me and my dad have had them for 3 seasons each, both are still in perfect condition.

dont waste ur money on some 80$ carbon fiber poles that "wont break"cus they will. buy relitivly fat poles and cut them short then fill them with http://greatstuff.dow.com/ and put the grips back on this will make them way stronger and it doesnt way that much.

I have Scott Team Issue poles and they've held up for quite a while. I have one small bend in one of them near the bottom from a hard landing, but other than that they've been great. I don't have them cut down, btw, since I don't ski 100% park.

I've broken one carbon pole in the last 5 years, compared to one or two broken metal poles per year before I switched. They're worth the extra cash and I'd never go back to metal. Try to find old Kermas with the nice grips.

I have a pair of Goode composite poles that I got for $20 at a swap. They are super soft to the point that it's fun to grab them in the middle and flex them. I've had them for a few seasons now and they have never bent or snapped.
