What are jets like

Those who own/have ridden jets before, how do they feel? I don't see them that often in the east coast at all, (only about 2 pairs) and wanted to hear from you guys that own them. Pros and cons?

Never heard of jets, i looked up jet skis and the only thing that comes up are jet skis.

Flat Stan said it’s like Icelandic and Vishnu had a baby, classic shape and feel with some nice flex.

a lot of people on this site hate/clown on jets but you gotta admit that sounds like a fun ski. i've skied on both vishnus and icelantics and enjoyed both.

I was thinking about getting them when my ON3P's bust in a season or two, but I don't really know how they'll last compared to the 3 years of use my ON3P's have seen

The current ones are known to snap

Yes. Blues might be the biggest flop I’ve ever seen. They had the design nailed with the gen2s, good ski aside from only being 177, but man did they drop the ball with the new ones. I could actually snap them with my own hands that’s how soft and weak they are. Way too soft even if you like soft skis. Hence a shit ton of them are snapping.

I still can't fathom how somebody could drop $500 on a pair of skis with effectively no information on what they actually ski like, no reviews, and from what I can tell, no way to contact them.

I heard the blues sucked ass which is why I never see anyone riding them, if the guy behind jet was more transparent compared to someone like Emmett who is very community driven and always open to criticism I think jet would see a lot less critique than it does

Ordered the blue ones, snapped a ski on a very mellow trick within a month of riding. Fun skis but the durability on the latest gen is trash and the customer service is nonexistent. Biggest waste of $500

It's weird, they ski exactly just like the Icelantic Da'nollie's

that's exactly what they were made after, the guy who made Jet's was sad the Da'nollie's were discontinued and said fuck it I'll do it myself and made Jetskis

actually met a guy at seven springs who was rocking one da’nollie and one gen 2 jet, he said they’re the same ski

Saw a guy at Sunshine the other day with one plus and one wet. I thought that would probably feel really weird

Other than a slight difference in the way the rocker is structured, it’s the same damn thing and I’d bet money you can’t find someone who could actually tell a difference between both skis from riding them

Rocker on Icelantics starts more aggressive and has a definitive start angle, whereas the jets just have a gradual start to the rocker. Really hard to tell unless you’re looking super carefully and the whips are side by side.

Both have same total rocker length in tip and tail, tail/tip splay, dimensions, etc. Only other difference is topsheet texture.

I talked to him today about it and he said the wet plus is so beat it flexes about the same.

from what i know they’re just icelantic nomads with a different topsheet. So nomads are playful, stable, and huckable if that answers your question
