We're giving millions of dollars for the victims of the tsunami. Now the number raises to 165000 dead (but for sure it will keep raising).

And I wonder, why don't we do the same with all the other countries that loose more than twice this amount of people over a year?(Because of AIDS; Hunger, or war) Specially, but not only, Africa is in urgent need. But no tourists died in there, and no one will realise how much money we donate because it's not in the news. Fuck that, Egeland has it right. We are hypocrites. It's evident the underwater earthquake's victims need help, but so many other nations waaaay poorer.

were doing what we can. quit crying about it. until people want to help themselves no ammount of aid is going to do a thing. despite this, we continue to be overly generous as a nation.

dont know the answer but i do agree with some aspects of the argument. we do give money to Africa but its not widely publicised. the tsunami was a big deal though because it messed up the rotation of the earth by 3 milliseconds

the only reason southeast asia is getting all this help is because it is a major tourist area. I dont remember anyone supporting africa when entire tribes and villages were slaughtered. Africa is not getting any help because there is nothing there no oil, no resources, no economy in which more powerful goverments can make any money. I think it is great that we are helping all the tsunami victoms but it comes to a point where we should look at the rest of the world and try to help them/

I don't think that they don't like you guys. They just don't like ur government, capitalism (althought they use it because Europe is full of countries which only want to suck the other's blood),and what they hate the most is when , in the movies, you put french woman with hairy, hairy underarms.

we already are giving all our money away and everyone still hates us. i don't think it really matters, americans are hated no matter what we do. and i don't like how we try and make everything better and everything done the way americans do it. fuck that. i think we could butt out a little less and let compitent countries take care of themselves and stop trying to turn them into mini americas. sorry...a little off topic.

 
you cant donate money to absoluelty every country in need, its economically inpossible, unless of course you are willing to live in a tent and eat tree bark so other countries can have your income. if we did nothing for this cause, it would be wrong and cruel. the rest of the world would have us even more, he had to.
