alright NS, does anyone on here watch the show whale wars on animal planet? i do, but just for the amusement. (im not some hippie)

so heres the thread to discuss the show and all the stupid things they do! GO!

 
i dumped it out in a bathroom sink at the end of 8th grade and it stunk up the whole hallway and a couple rooms near it!

I just think they're little punks like the probably are the biggest nuisance to the japanese ever. Honestly seeing the crew of the sea shepard throw jars of red paint onto the japanese boats makes me feel bad for the japs. Like god that has to be annoying its their livelyhood and some non profit earthy types are trying to save like five whales. and the captain takes it way to seriously. I enjoy the show however cuz i like shows about oceans with little ships. Like deadliest catch is enjoyable. Idk i don't watch to much tube
 
i love how they have lost the small boats and helis like 10 times per season because no one knows how to turn on a radio!
 
Hate what those guys are doing to the japs. Seen 1 episode. Some dude got captured by the Japs or something. Made me happy.
 
All I know, is if these hippies tried fucking up what I was doing for a living, I'd start shooting well before they had a chance to jump on my boat.
 
I watch. Before the first season i thought it might be cool. I have no idea how it is still aired seeing as nothing is accomplished. The funny part is, when they are stopping the whale hunting, nothing is happening so there is nothing to watch. 90% of the show is shots of people looking through binoculars at nothing. Not sure why I still watch.
 
nah not really, everyone wnats to see million dollar carbonfiber boats sink after getting ownde by a big blue jap ship! but this seasons gonna be amazing, they already have them in the first episode!

This show Whale Wars, is the epitome of how ignorant hippies are today. Basically some rich douche, goes and fucks up japanses ships. I understand killing the whales is looked at as wrong, but there making money to support there own families. I was so glad when there ship sunk

and the rich douche, was the guy who built that boat himself, sailed it around the world, in record time, then VOULENTERED to help them, just to have his boat he put his life into ruined! stfu unless you know what your talking about...

I don't really get why people have this automatic hatred for "hippies" as if they stand for some horrible things. You may not be the biggest fan of hippie culture for whatever reason, but calling these people douchebag assholes for trying to protect an incredibly beautiful, graceful, intelligent animal from going extinct is pathetic.

 
i dont know why people are trying to justify whaling because they are just trying to feed their families. if that was a good reason to hunt an endangered species, then its also a good enough reason to operate a drug cartel or commit burglary, just trying to feed their families...
 
Meh, my roommate in college was big into this show so I've seen it a few times. The impression I always got was that the entire show they just build and build that something epic is always going to happen, and then it never does. Plus I think it's fake as shit...or at least vastly exaggerated. Like the one episode when the captain said the Japanese shot him from their boat but miraculously the bullet hit him in his "badge" or whatever and he was fine. And in the episode when their boat gets run over; why would it just sit there and let the ship run it over without trying to escape? And they had footage that was shot from the Japanese ship, so why would the Japanese allow them to have a camera man filming the whole encounter on their ship?

Could be wrong, but that's just my impression.
 
the way i see it is that they are trying to do sumtin good, but their execution always sucks. like when they throw the gas/paint bottles on the ship to try and spoil the whale meat, they get so excited when they hit like the bow or the bottom of the boat when it actually does shit. it seems like they always fuck something in the plan up and something goes terribly wrong. they are all retarded basically, like if anyone with any smarts was there making decisions, they would be doing much better.
 
sometimes, but i don't watch tv. it annoys me that it takes so long to get to the end of the episode, like all other shows. however, it could interest you all to know that they actually made head way this year, getting south american countries involved and have been able to force the japanese fleets to end their hunt early this year.
 
i watch the show. some of the tactics are stupid. but i would be right along side them tryin to stop killing of whales. its fuckin horrible what those japs do

My mom's friend from her work is the mechanic for one of the helicopters on that show. He has to go 3 months without any meat. Fuck that shit.
 
WHAT THE FUCK? Ive never seen the show, from what south park says it looks over dramatised but holy shit you people are dumb as fuck.

Sea shepherd are an amazing group of individuals. They actually do save not only whales but other sea life on a daily basis, without them our oceans would be much more desert like. Fuck you, i bet if they hadn't been down there harrassing the Japanese whaling fleet there would be far fewer whales going past my window right now!

God I hate whiney fucks you you people "not some dirty hippy" id rather be the dirtiest hippy possible and acttually do something rather than sit on a computer judging ya piece of shit. fuck you.

Bet half you cunts have never even seen a whale or experienced the vibe when you are just feet from one, it's absolutely awe inspiring. Humbling, wisdom, majesty are words that come to mind. I support any action to defend these creatures whole heartedly. If i could Id kill every whaler and blow every whaling ship out of the ocean.

so is anything justified if it is for feeding your family? whales are pretty smart creatures and gentle too. but then if its the whales why stop there. what about cows, COWS ARE ANIMALS TOO. what about doing something really immoral for your family? lets hear it ns.

personally i think it is fine, the japanese guys (jap is a derogatory term btw) are deffinetily going to be pretty expert seamen so they could probably get jobs a lot of other places.
