While 171 seems like a smaller size for kids, Emmet mentioned in the two planker pod that they are meant for women in particular as we are seeing more and more females entering the park skiing scene. 171 is still a pretty big ski for a middle schooler... Not saying they are strictly womens skis but I think thats what Vishnu is aiming for.

Also can confirm this is many riders at the mountain this year *and probs half of ns....props to emmet and vishnu and surface they pretty much are creating a new era of skiing through their skis/marketing

Im talking about grown ass adults who clout chase. Anyone who’s like high school or younger I give em a little slack, I used to do wack shit on my gram too when I was that age. If it takes a 171 for some 13 year old to cop Vishnus then so be it, that’s hype, and I bet they’ll be hype too.

But we all know there will be 20 year olds who should be riding at least a 183 who cop a 171 just so they can “spin faster” (it’s a myth, btw… short skis don’t even help you spin) and make “better” instagram edits every week and “impress” more people and get more “likes” because they spun a bunch on a tube lol.
