Well kiddies, West Mountain officially got to work on their new park this morning. Mark was being a good employee and went to bed early last night so he could wake up suuuuuuper early this morning and get in some quality cat time. (and when I say "cat" I mean the kind that builds jumps. not the kind that prrs)
Unless you've been living in a dark room with no windows, you've notice the abundance of snow we've gotten in the last 24 hours. It's a shit load (for upstate NY).
What I'm proposing is an NS member gathering this Monday night at 5 PM so we can open Mark's park with some ill shit! I believe (don't quote me) that tickets are only $18 and you can ski from 5-10 PM.
After moving out of my apartment last week, I've got some gear to hand out that includes:
-Skull Candy Headphones-4 coveted and hard to find NS Lanyards-a pair of 1970's golf pants-a bunch of stickers
I'll talk to some friends and see if we can sweeten the pot a little. We'll throw little impromptu contests on whatever features are available.
So if you're around, come share in some NS/West Mountain/Holiday Season stoke this Monday night and we'll open Mark's park the right way.
(and if for some reason the park ISN'T open, we'll shred some side booters!)
 
ill definitely stop by, no guarentees of actually skiing though. im probably going to be BEAT.

Yay! we set up a flat rail today, it was stellar.

I think were rebuilding the park for monday night though.

^Haha that's true. Schmuck is the only one who shows up on the WC anyhow at all the gatherings I've been to...

Let's hope no more wild turkey is brought. Far too many blackouts have been a result of this drink.
 
ill be up there sometime soon. my uncle lives in queensbury which is only like 2 hours away so when I go to his house ill deff go to west
 
DATE CHANGE!
Just got off the phone with Mark. Poor guy has been trying to build a park in a snowstorm. Right now he said there's only 15 foot table and 1 rail. He's going to do a rebuild Monday night or Tuesday morning. That being said, we're moving the gathering to TUESDAY NIGHT!
The weather looks to be a little better and the park will be in much better shape. AGAIN that's TUESDAY NIGHT! Tickets are just $17!

nah its 17 from 5-10 on weekdays full mountain.

Yeahhh, it was really snowy today. Should be epicness tuesday night.. ill be there building during the day then come sesh at night time!
 
Mark is doing a great job with everything. Its good to hear that the park is going to open soon. There were some kids at Lake George that were doing solid works drawings for jumps and stuff for him so hopefully this will be pretty legit. Oh yeah and i still can't believe that Mark went to bed early haha.
 
no way. thats always kept me away from west was their ridiculous prices for a four hour ticket. thats sick
 
the plan is to push once the mtn shuts down tonight. depending on how the snow moves around the set-up might be fun. sorry about having nothing up today, but i hope everyone got out and found some pow spots! see everyone tuesday once we finish cleaning the park up.
 
well i just got home at 2:15am from being in the cat since 9:30pm. back to the mtn at 7am for some finishing work and the park should be open late morning. i think everyone will be happy.
 
I'm going to head up around 4:30. A few of you have messaged me about an official meeting place. To be honest, with everyone showing up at different times, lets just agree that we can all meet in the park?
The park is in clear view from the ticket window. I'll be wearing a white Helly Hansen jacket, grey pants, and a red/white Voleurz hat (ballin' ass style, I know). I'll start tossing out prizes around 6 or so.

it was a fun day i had a lot of fun chilling in the park watching everybody i wasnt skiing the park at all but it was fun to see all the crazy stuff people were doing.
