Alright so figured I'd toss this here in case people aren't aware ticks are on sale. Get em before they're gone and while they're cheap! grabbed my 180$ tick the morning they released them and they sold out of that 1000 in like 8 hours aha, plus they go up by a pretty hefty amount each block of tickets so get on that!

For those who dont know what wemf is, it's the world electronic music festival. The festival is help in madawasaga (which is just on the east side of south algonquin park) and is 3 days of house, trance, techno, dnb, and dubstep.

Party Safely!

I REALLY want to go to WEMF this year. I was dying just watching the videos last summer. However, i just really hate the fact that they dont post an exact venue, the tickets cost so much upfront, and they dont announce the lineup till later! That's my reasoning for not buying the tickets the day they dropped. Are you doing all three days? I'm an experienced music festival-goer (like 5 years at warped tour) but i am slightly hesitant on WEMF and the fact that its like two nights. Like can you lock your shit in your car, how am i going to charge my phone etc..

Yeah I feel ya for sure, It's kind of a wemf tradition to do it this way so I suppose that's why they do it. This year they did reveal the venue early which is out now (same location as last year). As for the lineups, I understand that it's tough to be committed to buying a ticket when you don't know who's going to be going, but if you're a fan of the genre and listen to enough electronic music than you'll be happy regardless. At least that's how I look at it.

Yeah i'll be there all three days for sure, wemfs my home away from home aha. The little things are all for the most part taken care of. Cars are parked really close to the camping area so a quick 2 minute walk to lock shit in your car/get shit out. We grabbed locks for our tents as well which isnt totally necessary, people are generally pretty nice and respectful there but its still a good idea. Wemf provides things like a charging station where you can go and they have a bunch of phone chargers for you to use and charge your battery up. theyve got Water stations to get nice and hydrated for partying, i believe theres going to be free wifi and showers provided too.

I'd say if you're really worried about the whole lineup thing, than wait for the first set of artists to be announced and if you're satisfied with what you see at that point, nab a tick!

sonds like a great time man. I hope i can get that time off (from whatever job i acquire) so i can go this year. I realized youre from Oshawa. Im from whitby bro. Did you cant any of the recent EDM shows/events in whitby/toronto? The killabits played at vogue and fuckin crushed it. And my boy who just started DJing played his first set at Jimmy o Tooles last thursday.

Yeah man I'm always getting out to local shows if I can! I'm actually from innisfil (just south of barrie) just going to school in Oshawa. Haha I was at the killabits dude! It was an unreal show to say the least, saw them and ZD at the kool haus back in december too. Went and saw dirtyphonics and mau5 back in november as well, but that dirtyphonics show was mind blowing. Their live set is absolutely insane! Nice I've been DJ'ing for a few years myself, recently venturing to producing, glad to hear he's getting some good gigs

thats sick dude. we hit up bassmentality at the wrongbar last week and it was so sick! obviously i was dying to go to the ZD show in december but i had finals all around then so it didnt work out. but i NEED to see them next time. They are definitely in my top 5 producers now. throw me a dm with your fb, maybe we can hit up a show soon.
