Welch Village Park Expansion

fat jon, colten and mikey did a good job on the park last week...its more fun now, with 3 lines of 3 rails. You keep your speed pretty decent through out. Adding two more rails this week so you'll be able to get 4 hits.

Line 1: flat box, battle ship, flat bar

Line 2: Flat down (long flat, short down), another flat down, saddle box

Line 3: Tall flat box (used in jam last year), 10ft down rail, rainbow box

They are adding the big rainbow and the 40ft down rail that was used in the jam last year as well this week I believe.

Nothing crazy by any means but it is fun.

Even as a ridiculously overcommitted welch kid i'm now highly debating packing up and moving on. Wild, Hyland, Afton and Troll are all closer than welch, so i really see no reason to ski anymore at a resort that has a non-existent park scene.

and speaking of which since welch is eliminating the college pass, is there any other resorts in the area that offer that kind of deal?
 
right now i'm thinking most likely afton or hyland, but if for some reason i decide to go to welch again theres only a week and change left to get the 99 dollar pass, which is by far the cheapest skiing to be done in minnesota, but hardly worth it anyways
 
i'll probably purchase that olympic pass

but is there any other cheap deals on passes in the area? i may just get hyland anyways.
 
for my 1400th post I would like to say The park at Welch can suck my nuts! that is all
 
Even after seeing the worst excuse for a park in 10 years this season (and subsequently only skiing there twice this whole year) I bought one. For $99, you can't go wrong.

Dear GOD they better move the park back to Look Out next year!!
 
same. i'm probably just gonna buy a pass somewhere else too and then just come to welch whenever i wanna ride with the homies or if they actually set up anything cool and or big and or fun
 
damn, haha, Welch got ethered in this thread. where is Welchguy to clear the air? I've always wanted to hear someone explain why the parks suck so hard there, haha.
