no_steeze Active member Nov 17, 2009 #2 eh, not too bad weight doesn't really matter unless you're touring or you hate having marginally heavy skis on your feet, but 8lbs will not feel heavy start to consider weight when you're looking at park skis that weigh 10+ lbs, if those exist

nickyp Active member Nov 17, 2009 #3 With park skis, it's SWING weight, rather than real weight you need to look at. Test the swing weight by holding either binding, and rotating the ski. See how heavy it feels when you do this.
