So I'm looking into getting a website for my band and am trying to use bandcamp (https://bandcamp.com/help/custom_domain) and tumblr as the basis for our sites. I was curious if anyone who has made a website can give me advice on how I should go about setting all of this up and who you recommend for hosting. All help is greatly appreciated!
 
Use squarespace.com! Squarespace is the easiest way for anyone to create an exceptional website.

How inside was that joke... I'm actually pretty proud of it. So proud that I am ruining it with this writing after the joke. I kind of feel like Chuck Lorre right now.

Holy shit that was even more inside.
 
I use A Small Orange for my hosting. They're really cheap and easy to work with. I am not sure about using templates and shit with it because I just write all my own stuff and upload it. Anyway thats my two cents
 
buy your domain for $13 from hostgator or godaddy. Then find a tumblr theme you like, learn some code so you can customize the theme, and then boom you have your easy to use site with free hosting
 
Personally after trying out a few different website building sites I've been really happy with Format. I'd also suggest buying your domain through NameCheap vs GoDaddy.
 
I went with godaddy for my domain because i got an email account with it

and format for the site
 
I used squarespace and I like how it turned out. Link is in my sig (my sig still is a little messed up, I'm about to fix it)
