its all about fit, try on everything and see what feels the most comfortable and fits so that it will protect you in case u need it

dont listen to grand!!! get one, i never used to wear one but im starting this year. last year i put a 4-5 inch gash through one of my eyebrows, bit through my lip and knocked out a tooth and a half and knocked myself out... never wearing a helmet on those occasions... so, get a boeri or a giro id say.

 
i like them for trees more than park but i don't go sick huge....it gives you lots of balls in the trees cuz you don't have to worry about impaling your brain

i always wear one, its worth it in my opinion, but whatever giro's fine, i got an r.e.d. whih is like by burton but whatever wearin ones a good idea
