And likewise, upstate NY should be considered part of NE. We're basically VT with higher taxes. If we could cede from NYC/Long Island, most of us would.
 
Yeah, just cut-off upstate New York and morphing Ct into New York seems like a fair trade to me, and I'd be happy to have Whiteface and the likes join the rest of New England.
 
Well what else is there to do when there is either:

a) No snow

b) Shitty conditions

c) All of the above

my opinion is always open to change but everyone ive met from CT is just an arms reach away from being a New Yorker.
 
i tend to agree with this. granted, i've pretty much only met kids from southern ct, but it's a trend at least
 
you're considering "new yorkers" to be from long island, staten island, and NYC. Us upstaters are completely different and when i say upstate i mean the adirondacks, not rochester or buffalo ect..
