Way burnt out on school

Always remember, its better than working 40 hours a week and paying for everything.

the key to staying sane/healthy, is time management, obviously. but, it's best to make sure you take the time to cool off. take breaks, even for 15 minutes. rejuvinate. sleep 7-8 hrs a night, start your homework early, and make sure you eat you three proper meals a day, and small snacks in between. eating, sleeping, and self care are the most important things in general, and they especially apply when stressing hard or working a major deadline. sometimes, granted, you'll have to all nighter, but i generally never have because i work things in time. but always always always make time to relax. downtime is crucial. worst case scenario, talk to a guidance counselor and maybe take a semester off school.

Make up fun games every week.
Yesterday I invented the game of stamp where every time someone slaps your paper when ur working on it u have to do a push up. the only way to block it is by having ur full hand on the paper. if someone stamps you will ur hand is on the paper they have to do a push up.
A game like this will probably get u in trouble but it will definitely get u through the week.

i disagree, i worked a 40 hour a week job over the summer and i enjoyed making money so much more than being forced to sit in a chair for 6 hours a day learning things that don't interest you. Even though i did not pay for everything like rent and food it was a lot more rewarding and enjoyable. I did pay for my car expenses, girlfriend, and taxes were taken out but i still had the satisfaction of money in my pocket. From school all i get is stress, laziness, and knowledge. But what I'm learning doesn't interest me so i feel like after all my essentials are learned I will forget everything else that i had to take to get into college such as all the advanced mathematics and sciences. I would take working and having the opportunity to become independent over school any day

Wait until you graduate. Working 40 hour weeks when you live with your parents rules cuz you have a shit load of money to blow. As soon as youre on your own, all that money goes towards expenses you really dont think about now... but who am i to tell you, youll see.

Don't drop out. I'm still in HS and even though I don't have the best grades, the thought of dropping out is haunting. As fun as a stress free life sounds, you got bills to pay.

Fuck around in school(if in HS), that's what I do. Really keeps things interesting. Then again I'm a second semester senior, so nothing I do really counts for anything.

No im not saying that. I was saying that looking back, being in high school is a sweet gig, enjoy it while you can

I'm a senior in college and It's killing me right now. Not only do I have tons of classes and work to do but I also have to find a job that I don't even really want. It's impossible for me to relax because I always have stuff to do that's in the back of my mind. The only time I can really get away from it all is skiing

You really just have to have fun with school. Work hard and party hard. Then again I only have 2 classes this year. being a senior rules

i hated high school and i would never go back. granted living at home is sweet, but eventually you get to a certain age where having nothing makes you feel like a bum, even if you're in school. at least for me. i can't wait to move out and decorate my own apartment and cook my own food, and walk around naked if i have to. (job hunting. recently graduated and in fat debt.) anyways. life is pretty unrewarding as a kid(granted its fun)... and if you try to stay a kid, it can stay that way... unless of course people like mooching off their parents and couch surfing. i just think, life is fun all the way through, if you don't take it for granted, and do your best and be responsible. adulthood doesn't mean you lose fun. it means, you get to have legal fun in different ways :P

Sounds like you haven't been to college. College is not sitting in a class 6 hours a day every day.

Doing well in school and finishing your bachelor's degree is completely capable of solving all your financial problems for the rest of your life. Don't waste that opportunity, its an easy way to get payed.

ive never really gotten why people who dont do well in school and dont care dont just drop out

like if you have straight d's and c's in all your classes whats the point of even going

oh. well i dont really know anything about anything (like all young people) so thanks for the clarification. I wouldnt think that the quality of job would increase that much from no diploma to having a hs diploma though. As i now hear that it is even hard to land a job with a college degree

My problem was I wasn't doing well but I was trying extremely hard. Nothing I could do could get me to do better, no matter how easy everyone else said the class was. I'm now being homeschooled and i'm still trying extremely hard. I seem to comprehend all the material now though. I think the kids who just fuck around 24/7 in class just aren't mature enough.

this.

once you have a really, really, sucky job like hardcore labor work. then you really appreciate going to school and not having to do a ton.

well, for example, my mom needs to go back to school if she wants to apply for a job in a higher position, even though she's already qualified to do it, and her salary caps as well. stuff like that can also happen. most grades matter if you're going into a higher profile job, but even at that i don't know if even they check.... but yeah. most people want to be in school, they just don't have a knack for studying, or whatnot. and sometimes life gives you lemons and you forgot the sugar to make lemonade so your grades suffer... sometimes...you get a shitty course you really hate...... anyways.

the real world is no where near as fun as college. i'd be in college forever if I could. if you think you have it rough now, wait until reality kicks in.

Not without a degree of some sort.....but then you get to spend the next 10 years (ish) paying back student loans because a good education is fucking expensive.
